Request a quote for heat pumps for businesses
Describe the building and its heating. We reply by email. This site is an information service, not an installer.
Before you send the form
- Have twelve months of gas or oil use to hand if you can; it makes any quote more useful. The running-cost calculator shows what to look for.
- Quotes are for installers to give, not this site. Compare at least two written quotes against the same specification and check each installer’s MCS and other credentials on the public registers.
- If your building needs 45 kW thermal or less for a single heat pump (70 kW thermal for a multi-unit system), ask whether the Boiler Upgrade Scheme applies. See the grants guide.
- The form says nothing binding on either side. It does not commit you to anything and this site does not promise a quote or a reply time.
What to have ready
An enquiry is only as useful as the information in it. These are the details an installer will normally want before they can give a meaningful number, and most of them are on a bill or a plant-room plate.
- Twelve months of fuel use. Gas, oil or LPG consumption in kWh (or litres for oil) from your bills. For gas, the annual figure on a supplier statement is enough; half-hourly data is better if your meter provides it.
- The existing boiler. Make, model, age and rated output in kW. If there is more than one boiler, list them all and say whether one is a standby.
- The heating system. Radiators, fan coils, air handling units, underfloor heating, or a mix, and the flow temperature the system currently runs at if you know it.
- Hot water. Whether the same boiler produces domestic hot water, how it is stored, and any large hot-water loads such as kitchens, showers or process washing.
- The electricity connection. The supply capacity in kVA or amps per phase (on the incoming supply or your electricity contract), and whether the supply is single or three phase.
- The site. Roof or ground space for outdoor plant, access for a crane, neighbouring buildings, and whether the building is listed or in a conservation area.
- Ownership and timescale. Whether you own the building (this matters for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and for capital allowances) and whether the boiler has failed or is close to failing.
What the form does with your answers
The form sends your answers, with the page you were on, to the site’s operator, and nothing is passed to installers. We use the answers about size, heating type and timescale to write a useful reply by email. None of them is a commitment, and none of them is a quote. If you would rather not share a detail, leave it blank; only name, email, postcode and the consent tick-box are required.
