Who is responsible for your data

SEO-Dons Ltd (Company No. 16766013), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, operates this website (heatpumpsforbusinesses.co.uk) and is the data controller for the personal data collected through it. Contact the controller through the contact page or by post at that address.

What this site is

The site is an information service, not an installer. If you send an enquiry, your details go to the site’s operator, who replies by email; they are not passed to installers. That is the main purpose for which enquiry data is used.

What information is collected

  • Enquiry and calculator forms: name, company, email, phone (if you give it), site postcode, details about the building and its heating, your timescale and ownership status, any message, and the calculator inputs and results if you send them. A tick-box records that you agree to the site operator using your details to reply to your enquiry.
  • Contact form: name, email and message.
  • Analytics: the site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to measure visits. GA4 uses cookies and similar identifiers and receives information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
  • Technical logs: the hosting provider (Netlify) processes standard server and security logs.

Why it is used, and the lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry: your consent (the tick-box on the form), which you can withdraw at any time, and the controller’s legitimate interest in operating the service.
  • To keep records and handle complaints or data requests: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
  • To understand how the site is used: legitimate interests, using the analytics described above.

Who receives your data

  • Enquiries are not currently passed to installers. If that changes, this notice and the form tick-box will be updated before any enquiry is shared.
  • Formspree (a United States provider) processes form submissions on the controller’s behalf; see Formspree’s privacy policy. Because it is in the United States, this is an international transfer.
  • Google (analytics) and Netlify (hosting).

The controller does not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.

How long data is kept

Enquiry data is kept only for as long as it is needed to handle the enquiry and for legitimate business records, and you can ask for it to be deleted sooner. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics service.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, and receive a copy in a portable form. You can withdraw consent at any time. Use the contact page to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
